In memoria del compagno Fidel

Dici davvero? Ci sono commemorazioni di Fidel Castro? Ho pure visto di sfuggita un evento Facebook da qualche parte qui a Roma, a San Lorenzo. Mi piacerebbe raccontarlo alle Cubane e ai Cubani che conobbi a Berlino facendo i nostri side-job da immigrati, quelle Cubane e quei Cubani che una volta uscit* non si poteva più rientrare a Cuba. Quell* che durante le pause, quando chiedevo loro di parlarmi del regime castrista lo raccontavano a voce bassa dopo essersi guardat* alle spalle e poi mi chiedevano scusa sgranando gli occhi con la paura nella voce e la schiena rigida..
Fidel Castro non verrà commemorato da quelle Cubane e da quei Cubani né dalle famiglie che non hanno più visto quest* figli* per dieci, venti, trent'anni, né dalle persone omosessuali perseguitate ed eliminate, né da tutte le altre persone perseguitate ed eliminate, né da me che queste storie le ho solo sentite raccontare.

La perseveranza con cui 60 milioni di persone insistono a voler vivere in questa terra apparentemente così accogliente, ma che ci respinge continuamente.

Anche questa volta, quando avremo finito di contare i morti, denunceremo i materiali di costruzione delle case distrutte e non ci interrogheremo sulla sicurezza delle nostre e malediremo la corruzione del sistema fallimentare radicato che regola il modo in cui per scelta, per bisogno, per abitudine o contro la nostra volontà, noi e gli altri 60 milioni occupiamo questa terra.

Una cosa alla volta comunque, oggi si contano i morti.
